Alright heres the thing.

I've neglected the hell out of this. Why? Because every time I force myself to do something routine it ends up exploding in my face. From now on my tumblr/blogspot is more of a "once in a while" thing. I think the challenge overwhelmed me. Also: I play too many video games to try and keep up with this too.

Alright so anyways. Birthday is tomorrow. I'm going to the aquarium AND the gun range. A little bit of childhood, a little bit of badass.

Doing fishy nails right now for the aquarium. Not sure if I can change them in between then and the gun range, but I want some gun nails too!

Well, since I won't be able to update the challenge much this weekend (see personal post #2) I thought I'd do something I've been meaning to for a little bit on even my tumblr, now. It has more of a home here, honestly.

I'm going to be adding a page today called "Polishes" which will list all the polishes I currently have AND all the ones I have my eye on. This is mostly for me to link myself to on my kindle so I don't go buying dupes or to help me while trying to correspond a certain color. If you'd like to see what I'm working with, go ahead and take a look!

I'm telling you now, it's going to be picture heavy!

Also: I'm doing it by color because I can easily CTRL + F to find a certain name... can't do that with shades!

Day 3: Yellow.....

So uhm... I was going to do something totally different with this day and it ended up turning into a ball of fail.

So there's these.

Not much to really say about them. Honestly, yellow is my favorite color and I HATE these nails. They're just boring. Gimp also made my hands look super light when I was color adjusting. I almost wish I was a white girl now because they look better than my real hands.

I think once the recreate day comes, I might redo this day haha.

My yellow of choice was Finger Paints - Art Nouv-Yellow

Personal Post #2

So my personal life is doing a LOT better since PP#1.

I'm currently crying because Guild Wars 2 is out and my computer can't even think about handling it.

So onto the real news: This weekend I'm going to my uncle's house to babysit his pets while he and his wife take a trip to North Carolina to visit her family. He has a rescued pit named Ella, a turtle (can't remember the type) named Oogway, a snake with no name (I KNOW... WHY NO NAME?! I call him Solid Snake.. so now that's what he is to me) and two sugar gliders named Zero (after the ghost dog in Nightmare Before Xmas) and One. I honestly love this dog, she's adorable and well behaved for the most part. Problem is, I haven't been around since last time I babysat her and I'm hoping she remembers me instead of barking up a storm. Anyways, it'll give me a couple days to get on his xbox (since mine is now at Chris' house) and play a couple nights away.

Oh, talking about nights... these adorable sugar gliders! These little cuties run around all night in their huge cage and make the craziest sound when they want your attention. I can't NOT hang out with them! Oogway pretty much keeps to himself, though. He likes to dig holes in his tank and sun himself. Typical.

Anyways, my Yellow Nails are ready to go, I'm about to upload some pictures in a bit. I'm having some KFC tonight so It'll have to be after my double down has rested on top of a bed of mashed potatoes in my belly. Stay tuned!

Natural Products '3-in-1' Nail Art Pens

These. Suckers. ROCK!
I mean woah. Maybe I'm just not used to amazing nail art pens, but these bad boys are worth every dime I payed.

These are 3-in-1 Nail Art Pens by a company called Natural Products.
They've got a little metal tip that's literally a needle size (actually, thats how you clean it out if it ever gets clogged. PS: it's never gotten clogged) under the black cap you see at the top. Below that, the black part that almost looks like it's got lines is the brush. Here's where I was impressed. The bottle itself isn't hard plastic... it's soft, mushy plastic that you literally SQUEEZE to get the perfect amount of polish from the tip when you're using it. No more guessing when or how much polish is coming out! NO MORE GLOBS!

Below all of that awesomeness is a little screwed on gem-holder. They give you a crap-ton of little gems that match the nailpolish color. I haven't ever used gems, so I wouldn't have bought them on their own, but having them come with these babies makes me think I might give them a shot!

I'm pretty sure they're refillable, but since I haven't ran out I'm not 100% on that. The colors are perfect, the gold is good enough to not need two coats (or lines) of it. The black is well... black enough?

Day 2: Orange!

BACK TO THE SWING OF THINGS, HOPEFULLY <3

Alright, so here is my orange nails. I know most people do oranges, so I wanted to do something on the same page, but different. What better than carrots? They're even MORE healthy than oranges SO HA! I got the idea from my mother, who bought some Naked juice the other day. What did it have in it? Oranges and Carrots! Personally, it's too dull for me (the juice not the nails!) but with some lime in there, yumyumyum.

Anyways these nails are adorable in real life. My thumb has like... loads of carrots on it.
The base color is China Glaze - Sunset Sail
My orange of choice was Finger Paints - Prints and Printsess
The green is Sinful Colors - Happy Endings

I also used one of my new little Nail Art pens for this. I'll make a post about the two I've bought so far in hmmm... like 15 mins?

Personal Post #1

Just got back from a few days with my boyfriend. He's feeling better after the whole incident.

We had a good heart-to-heart, and he knows everyone cares for him. They asked him in the hospital if he was mad that his attempt didn't work and he said no. He knows he wasn't thinking clearly and he's happy to still be alive. I'm having a hard time getting over the idea of him being gone. I held myself back from tears a couple times. I don't want him to feel like he's putting me through anything.

He's got a doctor's appointment on Monday to see how his new meds are going. He's also got a house visit appointment with a psychologist for free to help him and his mother deal with things. Hopefully that helps him feel more comfortable with talking everything out. I just don't want him holding back what the REAL problem is just because his mother will be there.

Either way, he knows he's not alone. I just needed him to know I was here for him and that's never changing.

I hope he understands.

Anyways, Day 2 is tomorrow. I'm so sorry this has turned into such a fail of a challenge, but I couldn't have seen this coming. I've already gotten my nails done, I just need to load up the picture and I'm just not feeling it tonight.
